General Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to the Conference ‘RETHINKING KIRCHNER: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH’ in Davos, Switzerland. Attendee s shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the Conference and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering. The Organizer will not accept any conditions contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.

Registration

Registration for the Conference must be done through the online registration system. Attendees will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration details by email. If you do not obtain a reply within 24 hours, please send an e-mail to info@kirchner2018.ch to make sure that the Organizer has received your booking. Registration will only be effective on receipt of the registration fee or after authorization of a credit card payment. Please notify any corrections regarding your registration immediately to info@kirchner2018.ch.

Fees and Payment Conditions

All prices quoted for Conference attendance are calculated on a per-person, per-conference basis.

Accommodation, travel expenses and any other associated costs not specified within the scope of the Conference shall be borne directly by the Conference Attendee, who shall accordingly settle all accounts related hereto directly with the respective providers.

Note that the system uses time zone GMT+1 as reference.

Booking period

Registration period: 03 January 2018 – 30 April 2018

All fees for the conference registration should be paid upon registration in full, and without deducting any bank charges incurred by the payer, through bank transfer. All payments are to be made in Swiss Francs.

Acknowledgement

Registration and payment will be confirmed by e-mail.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received before 30 April 2018 will be eligible to a refund of 100% of all booking fees. Cancellations received before 15 May 2018 will be eligible to a refund of 50% of all booking fees. For cancellations occurring after 1 June 2018, no refunds can be made. Bank administration fees and credit card fees will not be refunded.

The participant has the right to appoint a substitute at any time. Any change to a booking will incur a service fee of CHF 20.

All cancellations and changes must be requested at info@kirchner2018.ch.

The Organizer reserves the right to modify the content of the programme, the speakers and the times of presentations. If the number of participants is insufficient, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Conference and all related products and/or services without any liability on his part. In the case of a cancellation by the Organizer participants will be reimbursed the registration fee actually paid.

Photographs and Image Material

The Organizer may, free of charge and without the further consent of the Attendee's, use and release audiovisual material taken of the Attendee's and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during the Conference for reports about the Conference and announcements of future events.

Data Use Agreement

Upon registration, the participant agrees to the usage of his or her data by the Conference for the website, and for printed and online media promoting the Conference. Personal data will not be passed on to third parties. This agreement can be revoked informally by sending an e-mail to info@kirchner2018.ch.

Liability

The Organizer does not accept liability for up-to-dateness, accuracy and completeness in respect of Conference documentation and content.

The Organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the Conference.

Disputes

All agreements between the Organizer and the Attendee, and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Attendee, shall be exclusively subject to Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Davos, Switzerland.

Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
